The 2023 Arkansas SHRM HR Best Practice winner is Windstream. 

WINVets is designed to support outreach, recruitment, and retention efforts for military and Veteran communities. It currently has 493 active employee members. Currently, over 13% of their workforce is represented by Veterans and military spouses. This program has cemented this organization as a military-friendly employer with a number of recognitions, along with partnerships during Military Appreciation Month.

WINVets showcases creativity with thoughtful planning, offering benefits to current and potential employees as well as customers. It actively promotes diversity, inclusion and community support. The impact of this program changes many lives, demonstrating this Windstream’s commitment to supporting our military veterans and spouses.
