2023 SHRM Pinnacle Award
The Arkansas SHRM State Council was awarded the 2023 SHRM Pinnacle Award during the Nov. 17 SHRM Volunteer Business Leaders Meeting in Washington D.C. in recognition of its high achievements advancing the profession of human resources. The Pinnacle Award is the most prestigious honor SHRM state councils and chapters can receive, and it recognizes innovative projects created and implemented by SHRM affiliates. Arkansas SHRM was one of twelve human resource organizations which included nine chapters and three state councils —out of more than 600 —from across the country to win the award in 2023. Arkansas SHRM received the Pinnacle Award because of its Legislation Advocacy Makes a Difference project. The project promoted advocacy by Arkansas SHRM members related to various legislative and regulatory issues affecting the Human Resources profession. See more here on our Happenings page.
2022 SHRM Excel Award: Platinum Council

2016 SHRM Excel Award: Platinum Council
The Excel Awards recognize achievements by SHRM chapters and state councils in three categories:
1. Serving HR professionals: Initiatives that support and promote professionals with HR responsibility to be successful business leaders. Activities may be related to certification, professional learning, or skills development.
2. Advancing the HR profession: Initiatives advancing the HR Profession by creating awareness with or supporting key constituents including workplace, government and regulatory representatives, employers, schools, media and the community at large. Activities may be outreach and awareness.
3. Enhancing the SHRM community: Initiatives providing programs and services that support SHRM, meet members’ needs, or further the Chapter or State Council efforts. Activities may include efforts to foster member engagement, retention and acquisition, volunteer development and recognition, or supporting the SHRM Foundation (e.g. conducting a leadership campaign, hosting a fundraising event, or receiving a SHRM Foundation Innovation Award).
2015 SHRM Learning System Champion
The SHRM Learning System Champion status is a recognition of your chapter's hard work to elevate the HR profession through professional development and HR knowledge among members, gained from SHRM certification. SHRM created this prestigious distinction in support of its premier education product. This status also helps to promote the HR profession at the local level by using the SHRM Learning System® for SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP.

SHRM Foundation Champions are SHRM chapters and state councils that support the SHRM Foundation by:
1. Making an annual donation to the SHRM Foundation directly from chapter/council funds
2. Encourage members to join Team Empower

In 2015, ARSHRM received SHRM's Silver EXCEL Award.
2014 SHRM Excel Silver
In 2014, ARSHRM received SHRM's EXCEL Award yet again. This award is part of the SHRM Affiliate Program for Excellence and recognizes our chapter's accomplishments in promoting human resources in Arkansas.
2014 Pinnacle Award
ARSHRM earned the 2014 Pinnacle Award for Enhancing the SHRM Community for its collaboration with DHS Superstar Dave Basham to present 3 wildly successful Form I-9/E-Verify webinars.
2013 SHRM Excel Gold
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) has awarded the ARSHRM the EXCEL Gold Award for 2013.
The award is part of the SHRM Affiliate Program for Excellence, which aligns individual chapters with SHRM. The award recognizes a chapter's accomplishments and strategic activities and initiatives that promote the human resources profession at the local level.
