2017 Sherie Combs
Sherie is an HR Professional with over 37 years of experience with the East Arkansas Area Agency on Aging (EAAAA). EAAAA is a non-profit organization providing services to seniors in our 12 county area. EAAA currently employs about 350 employees, but has had as many as about 600 in the past.
Sherie was the original HR manager for EAAAA. She created the handbook, policies, and procedures as the position evolved into what it is today. She has been active in legislative matters with the organization as well as with NEASHRM. Sherie is a valued professional and expert in our HR community, and she is sought for advice and knowledge by many. According to EAAAA Employee Benefits Specialist Pam Newton, “Her varied experience has been very valuable to her organization; she has done it all. This is very helpful with a small HR department for a larger organization in a widespread geographical area.”
Sherie is known as being very organized and detail oriented and has always been counted on to help get any job or project done in a professional and accurate manner. People who know her say that Sherie would be the one to call on for any HR related matter. If she doesn’t know the answer, she can find it.
Sherie has been very dedicated to NEASHRM and ARSHRM during her career. She has held most of the NEASHRM chapter offices, including President. She was also a member of the State Council under Hal Wyatt in 2003. Sherie also served on my State Conference Committee in 1999 as Exhibitors Chair.
