Update on Medical Marijuana

Now that the Arkansas General Assembly has passed and the Governor has signed into law House Bill 1460 (now known as Act 593), employers in Arkansas have some clarity in what they can and can’t do when it comes to medical marijuana.

2017 Tax Reforms - Impact on Health and Welfare Plans

The end of 2017 brought the passage of sweeping tax reform legislation. The final bill signed into law by the President on December 22nd contains a variety of provisions affecting health and welfare plans and it has been a challenge to keep track of where things stand.

Are You Ready for the Revised Form I-9?

A new version of the Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, was released on November 14, 2016. By January 22, 2017, employers must use the revised form. Dave Basham, a Form I-9 and E-Verify subject matter expert with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, will conduct an hour long in-depth session on the revised I-9.
