2025 Doreen Mattes

Doreen Mattes, SPHR is the 2025 Arkansas SHRM Human Resource Professional of the Year.

Doreen is the Director of Human Resources for the City of Maumelle. She has worked for over 20 years in multiple industries with expertise in employee relations, talent acquisition, training and development, and organizational leadership.

She mentors and advocates for HR students, teaches and prepares peers for HR certification, and oversees the HR strategy and function.

An active SHRM volunteer, she currently serves Arkansas SHRM as Membership Director, and is a board member for the Central Arkansas HR Association. In addition, she is a leader with the Arkansas Public Employers HR Association.
