Arkansas HR Professionals are leaders in monitoring and shaping legislation, both throughout the State and on a national level. Staying informed on legislative issues that affect HR Professionals is a "Key Function" of the Arkansas State Council. The Council has three (3) chair positions dedicated to legislative oversight: The "Governmental Affairs Director", the "National Legislative Director" and the "State Legislative Director". These dedicated chairpersons work closely with the Local Chapters and SHRM Members to keep them up-to-date on all the latest happenings.
The State Council also hosts an Annual Employment Law & Legislative Affairs Conference whose mission is to educate and enlighten HR Professionals on important employment law and legislative issues.
We have an exciting program for this year's conference. Learn more at the 2017 ELLA Conference website!
The 2018 ELLA Conference will be held at the DoubleTree/Robinson Center.
