The ARSHRM State Council will be holding its 2012-2013 Arkansas SHRM Leadership Conference on September 27th – 28th, 2012 at the Ozark Folk Center located in Mountain View, Arkansas.  The Leadership Conference is intended to educate, motivate and inform chapter leaders and state council members of their leadership role and state council activities and goals. We hope that each chapter leader and state council leader will make every effort to attend and learn so they can become better leaders for the HR profession. We hope to have near 100% chapter leader participation.

ALL THOSE WHO ARE IN OR WILL BE GOING INTO STATE COUNCIL AND CHAPTER LEADERSHIP ROLES ARE INVITED TO ATTEND!!!!

Also - any individual that the chapter is grooming for a leadership role is invited to attend!

Schedule

Registration will be open Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. and the official 2012 – 2013 Leadership Conference kicks off at 10:00 a.m. with a Brunch.

Thursday evening will be reserved for attendees to attend the Music Theater show at 7:00 p.m. at the Ozark Folk Center.  (Tickets can be purchased for $11.50 through the Ozark Folk Center by calling 1-870-269-3851.  Tickets also include entrance to the Craft Village)

The highlight of our conference will be a Team Building Leadership Outing, on Friday, at LocoRopes located adjacent to the Ozark Folk Center.  Activities will include both ground and short line ropes team building activities.  Attendees will also be able to purchase additional rope activities if desired to experience after the conference is over.

The conference will end with a lunch on Friday leaving time to enjoy the Ozark Folk Center or travel back to your home in the afternoon.

Early Bird Special - The ARSHRM State Council will pay for ½ of the resort room costs on the night of September 27th for each registration up to the first 50 registrations.  (Note that this means for those that want to double up in a room – the cost will be free!)   Each individual, who makes a reservation, will need to be prepared to present credit card information for payment of securing the room for incidentals at the time of check-in. All incidental costs are the responsibility of the attendee(s) that the room is registered to.  (Room service, long distance phone calls etc.)

Location

The Ozark Folk Center is located on 640 wooded acres, just north of the city of Mountain View, a small town of less than 3,000 residents, in Stone County, Arkansas. The Park is approximately 100 miles north of Little Rock, Arkansas; 160 miles west of Memphis, Tennessee and 300 miles south of St. Louis, Missouri.

ARSHRM strongly encourages individual Chapters to utilize the appropriate expense reimbursement processes for recovering or billing expenses related to the Leadership Conference that will be paid for by the Chapter(s) and/or individuals.
